Clare Melinsky:Cabbages and Kings
31st January-3rd March

Thomas Tosh's latest exhibition celebrates the breadth and depth of the work of printmaker Clare Melinksky.
Clare’s work has adorned a wide range of books, stamps, newspaper and magazine columns, and added life to public buildings.
She last brought her magic to Thomas Tosh in Thornhill in the winter of 2010. Then she’d just completed the cover illustrations for the latest Harry Potter editions.
The exhibition’s title “Cabbages and Kings” comes from Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass. The phrase sums up the massive range of Clare’s work, from gardening themes to great historical figures.
Thomas Tosh, 19 East Morton Street, Thornhill, Dumfries and Galloway, DG3 5LZ. 10am-5pm, Monday-Saturday. Closed Sunday. Free entry.
